(Criterion Cinema-New Haven)

I believe Liam Neeson made this film before he decided to become President of The Hartford and work with Tom Jones. It is a good little flick in the Atom Egoyan tradition. After seeing the movie, you can look back at Neeson’s character in particular and see just how nuanced a performance he gave, perhaps more-so than the enigmatic Chloe of the film’s title. This is interesting because Neeson is a supporting character in this picture, and not the character you would at first expect to be able to examine and study the nuances.

Not bad for the future A-Team member, trainer of Batman, President of The Hartford, etc. etc. And it’s not unusal for his performance to be that good. Check out some of his other offbeat films for more gems.
